No other firm understands the complexity and demands of national health care programs like Myers and Stauffer. We have provided Medicare and Medicaid audit, investigative, and consulting services to many federal agencies, including Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General, Department of Justice (DOJ), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). A sample of our federal projects includes:
- Provide audit services for CMS to include Cost Report Audit Risk Assessment Accuracy and Education (CRARAAE).
- Perform eligibility compliance reviews as a part of CMS’ national Eligibility Review Contractor team.
- Serve as the Survey of Retail Prices (National Average Drug Acquisition Cost) contractor, and perform services for several other ongoing CMS projects where we develop payment rates, utilization rates, and performance rankings.
- Conduct program audits and financial examinations of Medicare Advantage Organization and Prescription Drug Plan sponsors.
- Assist the DOJ and FBI in both civil and criminal actions related to health care fraud.
- Partner with prime contractors on key CMS program integrity initiatives such as UPIC and MEDIC.

Our State Work
Myers and Stauffer has worked with public health care and social service agencies in every state, many of them for decades. In fact, our client retention rate is greater than 97 percent. Our work has touched nearly all public health services for our state clients. From designing complex reimbursement systems to implementing fraud, waste and abuse detection systems, we have partnered with a variety of state agencies to reach their objectives.
