What We Do Matters: Savombi Fields

Collaboration + Service + Results

What we do matters… to the clients we serve, to the staff in our 20 different office locations, and to the millions of vulnerable individuals in our country who rely on Medicare and Medicaid services. To continue our blog series about finding meaning in our work, we would like to introduce Savombi Fields, Senior Manager at Myers and Stauffer’s Atlanta office. Savombi reveals a person story about her dedication to quality health care for all.
For nearly 14 years, I have dedicated my career to working with state clients on the administration of their Medicaid and managed care programs. States are challenged to stay abreast of state and federal regulatory changes and maintain oversight of the managed care organizations that operate their programs. I work closely with state clients to address and resolve the issues they face.
Access to quality health care is essential to everyday living. I volunteer at a local nonprofit agency where I have direct knowledge of the disparities and barriers in the community such as food, clothing, and especially access to health care.
I see people with chronic medical conditions and mental illness struggle to get the help they need. I feel the various projects I perform help close the gap to ensure members have adequate access to providers, providers are properly serving the members, and managed care organizations are effectively administering the programs.Savombi Fields, CFE, CPC-P (Senior Manager, Atlanta)
