“There are several reasons I believe our pharmacy rate setting and National Average Drug Acquisition Cost (NADAC) benchmark work matters, not the least of which is helping state government clients identify and address any ‘bad actors’ in the pharmacy supply chain. Our work involves setting rates and managing reimbursement methodologies that are equitable for both state Medicaid programs and the pharmacies that provide medication to patients. Our work also provides much-needed price transparency to enable the public to know a reasonable price to pay for their medications. These things, in turn, help keep medication costs manageable for our state government clients, which is critical, given the significant portion that it contributes to overall public health care spending. Get to Know AJ
AJ oversees a team of analysts and serves as a project manager, reimbursement specialist, and technical liaison for multiple state Medicaid rate setting and pharmacy consulting contracts. He manages and oversees average acquisition cost rate setting and reporting, ad hoc financial and data analysis, and the compilation of written proposals and white papers related to specific client or project needs. He leverages his technical expertise to enhance and adapt current processes through efficiency, improved quality, and realized cost savings. He brings with him an extensive background in accounting, tax, and financial analysis within multiple industries.
