Janae is a partner with Myers and Stauffer in our Kansas City office, and has 16 years of experience providing health care auditing, managed care oversight, and consulting services for multiple Medicaid agencies. She has led various engagements related to managed care health plans, hospitals, and nursing facilities.
Janae directs the daily activities for several of the firm’s medical loss ratio (MLR) examination contracts. She has been involved in developing procedures and protocols for completing Medicaid MLR, administrative expense reviews, disproportionate share hospital (DSH), and cost report audits in accordance with federal and state regulations. Janae also provides consulting services including health care data analysis including reconciliation and validation of encounter data, claims reviews including identification of mispayments and contract compliance, and DSH payment calculations and modeling.
Janae is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a member of the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants, Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
