Program Overview
The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has contracted with Myers and Stauffer LC, a national public accounting and consulting firm, to establish and maintain the Montana Average Acquisition Cost (AAC) program. The Montana AAC exists as the primary pharmacy reimbursement benchmark for covered brand and generic preferred drugs within the Montana Medicaid fee-for-service pharmacy program. For more specific information and definitions on the pharmacy reimbursement methodology, please refer to the pharmacy provider manual.

Annual Dispensing Fee Survey
The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has contracted with Myers and Stauffer LC, a national Certified Public Accounting firm, to conduct a pharmacy dispensing fee survey as part of the process to evaluate the professional dispensing fee component of the Montana Healthcare Programs pharmacy reimbursement. All pharmacies enrolled in the Montana Healthcare Programs are required to participate in the survey.
