Pharmacy Cost of Dispensing

The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) has contracted with the firm Myers and Stauffer LC, Certified Public Accountants, to perform a survey of the cost of dispensing prescriptions to Medicaid clients. Minnesota Statutes 2025, Section 256B.0625, Subdivision 13e, paragraph (g) requires DHS to conduct this survey every three years. Pharmacies are required to participate in this survey.  Pharmacies that fail to respond to the survey may be subject to sanctions including, but not limited to, payment suspension or termination from the program.

The survey was mailed to pharmacies located in the state of Minnesota that participate in the Minnesota Medicaid pharmacy program on January 13, 2026. Below are the notification letters and the Excel version of the cost survey tool.
