Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE): Support for States Expanding PACE

Return to our PACE homepage.

For states that currently operate PACE programs, Myers and Stauffer partners with your agencies to support thoughtful expansion, strengthen program performance, and ensure long-term financial and operational sustainability. Our work helps states assess expansion opportunities, manage risk, and align PACE growth with broader LTSS program objectives and budgetary goals.

PACE Expansion Strategy and Market Analysis

Myers and Stauffer helps states evaluate opportunities to expand PACE geographically or demographically. This includes analyzing enrollment trends, discovering unmet needs, discerning regional variation, and achieving alignment with broader LTSS initiatives in rural, urban, and frontier settings. Our program and policy specialists evaluate the potential to apply opportunities for innovative Pace expansion.

Financial Sustainability and Rate Setting Support

We provide financial analysis to support capitation rate development, trend analysis, and ongoing budget impact monitoring. We conduct detailed cost analysis and report key performance measures to monitor long-term sustainability.

Provider Performance and Capacity Assessment

We evaluate existing PACE organizations to assess clinical, quality, and operational performance, including their capacity for expansion.

Why Myers and Stauffer?

Established in 1977, Myers and Stauffer is a nationally based consulting and certified public accounting firm. For nearly 50 years, we have worked exclusively with government health and human services agencies to help them accomplish their most critical goals for the nation’s most vulnerable people.

Backed by disciplined professionals who meet the highest ethical and compliance standards, we continue to forge strong partnerships with our clients, built on trust earned through a long history of strong performance and exacting execution. We help clients — state agencies and CMS — meet their goals one engagement at a time. Each is a rewarding chapter in our ongoing effort to support health and human services programs nationwide.

Our newest PACE initiative, the PACE Multi-State Learning Collaborative, was created from the ground up to drive high-level thought leadership and sharing among state agency leadership. This dynamic and state-focused program, the only one of its kind in the country, now includes participants from more than 30 states, addressing more than 85 percent of all PACE participants nationally.

We are purposeful and mission-driven. The values that inspire us inform everything we do in support of government programs and the clients who administer them.
