Professional Background and Experience
Brad brings to Myers & Stauffer more than 14 years of government experience, most recently at CMS, where he spent seven years and served as a Financial Management Specialist with the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS).
His primary function was federal oversight of state Medicaid financial management activities. He was directly responsibility for reviewing quarterly reporting (CMS-64, CMS-21, CMS-37, and CMS-21B), Medicaid administrative claiming, §1115 waiver financial monitoring, focused financial management reviews, and working with states on new or updated regulations and their implications for Medicaid finances.
“I worked hard to develop strong relationships with state contacts so we could work together on complex Medicaid financial issues and ensure accurate reporting,” says Brad. “Prior to joining CMS, I worked as an auditor with the Department of Defense’s Defense Contract Audit Agency. There, I received extensive audit training and had the opportunity to audit some of the largest defense contractors in the country.”
Soon after graduating college, he began his career in the financial services industry, earning his Series 7 and Series 66 licenses and helping clients reach their financial goals.
“I believe that having sales experience in my career directly out of college helped me tremendously by teaching me the importance of relationships and being client focused,” says Brad.

“I was looking for a place where I would be able to provide value in a client-focused role,” says Brad. “That’s especially true when I think about helping to grow the firm and its capabilities around federal compliance and quarterly reporting. I believe that by providing high-quality, high-touch work in our client service, we will be able to attract new clients who value what we have to offer.”

In thinking about the direction of his career with the firm, Brad is clear about his goals and what he most wants to accomplish.
“I am most excited to get to know and work with our clients,” says Brad. “I want to partner with our current and potential clients to discover their needs and pain points and then work with our team to develop solutions that meet, and hopefully exceed, their expectations.”
