Empower Our People

Berry’s capacity for uplifting others has made a significant impact to her team and those around her. She helps them feel empowered to take ownership of their work and encourages them to reach their full potential while also feel valued as a member of the firm. As Berry leads her team, she also participates in community-building efforts through initiatives like the Indianapolis Culture Club and Indy Cares.

Berry has successfully led initiatives like the DRG rebasing and the Hospital Assessment Fee (HAF) projects, showcasing her sharp attention to detail, innovative thinking, and calm under pressure. She’s not just an expert, she’s a mentor who invests time in her team, helping them grow and master their roles. Her ability to inspire, support, and lead with purpose makes a lasting difference in the lives she touches and the projects she leads.” – Sally Springer (staff analyst, Indianapolis)

Be the Expert:

With years of experience in her field, Berry delivers thoughtful solutions to complex challenges, fostering authentic connections that elevate her team, generously sharing her knowledge, and consistently modeling a culture of excellence and growth that inspires lasting progress.

Berry’s work ethic is unmatched. She’s always learning, asking the right questions, and staying ahead of the ever-evolving landscape of regulations and priorities,” – Catherine Olejnik (senior accountant, Indianapolis)

Focus on the Client:

Berry places the client at the heart of everything she does, ensuring their needs are not only met but anticipated. Her commitment to tailored solutions and identifying potential problems early into a project, keeps her on track toward meaningful results. Barry led a major overhaul of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services, helping the client implement an upgraded reimbursement system. However, that has led to challenges, as many Medicaid recipients were worried about losing these critical therapy services for their children. As tough as that was, Berry had a game plan that resulted in a successful outcome for her client, using her expertise to determine what was the right approach during this time of uncertainty.

Berry’s dedication doesn’t stop when a project ends. She stays involved, constantly seeking ways to improve results and add value long after the initial deliverable is complete,” – Courtney Akers (senior manager, Indianapolis)

Grow the Firm:

As Berry goes through these challenges and successes throughout the firm, one of her main focuses is to grow. Her forward–thinking approach and focus on operational excellence have been essential in driving Myers and Stauffer’s strategic goal.

Berry’s work ethic stands out, she’s often the last one in the office, ensuring no detail is overlooked. Her passion for the firm and its mission shines in everything she does.” – Roger Sell (manager, Indianapolis)

What truly sets Berry apart is the contagious passion she brings to her work,” says Sarah Kate (staff accountant, Indianapolis)

As a senior manager on the Rate Setting/Federal Compliance engagement team, Berry has spent nearly 17 years at Myers and Stauffer making a lasting impact. Her deep knowledge, consistency, and commitment to both her clients and colleagues are evident in everything she does. “I work primarily on the acute-care rate-setting project for an Indiana client that encompasses a variety of provider types and initiatives for the state,” she shared. “The variety and changes definitely keep me on my toes and very engaged.” Her passion for the work and ability to adapt reflect the very essence of our Core Values and serve as just a few of the many reasons Berry is so deserving of the Bruce Myers Legacy Award.
