North Carolina Pharmacy Reimbursement
The Department of Health and Human Services Division of Health Benefits has contracted with Myers and Stauffer LC, to provide assistance in maintaining the State MAC list for drugs based on drug acquisition cost and the Enhanced Specialty Drug Reimbursement list. As new State MAC rates are developed, the rates will be posted on this website. Please check this site regularly for changes to the State MAC list.

Pharmacy Cost of Dispensing Survey Information
The Department of Health and Human Services Division of Health Benefits has contracted with Myers and Stauffer LC, Certified Public Accountants, to perform a survey of the cost of dispensing prescriptions to Medicaid members.
Cost of dispensing surveys were distributed to pharmacies that participate in the North Carolina Medicaid pharmacy program on March 4, 2025. The due date for the cost of dispensing survey is April 15, 2025. Below are the survey notification letters and the Excel version of the cost of dispensing survey.
