Pharmacy Cost of Dispensing

The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) has contracted with the firm Myers and Stauffer LC, Certified Public Accountants to perform a survey of the cost of dispensing prescriptions to Medicaid clients. Minnesota Statutes 2021, Section 256B.0625, Subdivision 13e, paragraph (h) requires DHS to conduct this survey every three years. Pharmacies are required to participate in this survey.

Below are the survey notification letters that were mailed on October 19, 2022. Also included below are the Excel versions of the survey tool for a single location or multiple locations. Pharmacy Cost of Dispensing surveys should be completed and returned by November 16, 2022. Recovery Audit Contractor

Myers and Stauffer LC (Myers and Stauffer) has been selected by the State of Minnesota, Office of Inspector General (OIG) to provide Medicaid Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) services.

Myers and Stauffer has over 40 years of experience providing accounting, consulting, data management and program integrity services to state Medicaid agencies, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and the United States Department of Justice (DOJ). Myers and Stauffer has 18 offices across the United States staffed with nearly 900 professionals including accountants, Certified Fraud Examiners, clinicians and medical coders, pharmacists, and many other specialists who work exclusively with government health and human services programs. In addition to its waste, fraud and abuse detection engagements throughout the country, Myers and Stauffer has served as Medicaid RAC in several states and has the experience and qualifications to assist the State of Minnesota’s OIG in operation of the CMS-required RAC program.

Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Services

Myers and Stauffer LC (Myers and Stauffer) has been selected by the State of Minnesota to provide independent reviews of nonemergency medical transportation (NEMT) services for the Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP).

Myers and Stauffer has over 40 years of experience providing accounting, consulting, data management and program integrity services to state Medicaid agencies, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and the United States Department of Justice (DOJ). Myers and Stauffer has 18 offices across the United States staffed with nearly 900 professionals including accountants, Certified Fraud Examiners, clinicians and medical coders, pharmacists, and many other specialists who work exclusively with government health and human services programs. In addition to its waste, fraud and abuse detection engagements throughout the country, Myers and Stauffer is an experienced certified public accounting and consulting firm providing services to state and federal government entities. They have many years of experience performing Medicaid NEMT audits and oversight studies for multiple states. As the NEMT contractor, Myers and Stauffer will review documentation for transportation claims billed by the NEMT providers and paid by MHCP in order to identify compliance with state and federal program requirements.
