How Recruitment Scams Work

Individuals claiming to be Myers & Stauffer employees or representatives may attempt to extend fraudulent employment offers to job seekers in an effort to obtain money or personal information. These scams often use legitimate job boards, social media platforms, and may misuse the Myers & Stauffer name, logo, employee identities, or online job postings to appear credible.

Verify Recruiters and Job Opportunities

We work with approved recruiting agencies and staffing partners to support certain hiring needs. If you are unsure whether a recruiter, agency, or job opportunity is legitimately affiliated with Myers & Stauffer, please contact careers@mslc.com and we will help verify the relationship.

Common Warning Signs

Fraudulent job offers are often sent through email, text message, social media, or messaging applications. These scams may involve promises of remote work, international relocation, visa sponsorship, or requests for payment related to equipment purchases, background checks, immigration processing, or other employment-related expenses. Scammers may also send checks and instruct recipients to purchase equipment or return unused funds. These checks are often fraudulent.

Additional Guidance

Myers & Stauffer only posts open positions through authorized channels, including the Myers & Stauffer Careers webpage and approved recruiting partners.
